Reinvent Your Retirement: Find Purpose, Passion, and Fulfillment in Life’s Next Chapter

1-on-1 Personalized coaching to help you design and live a meaningful and energized retirement that fits you.

This isn’t your parent’s retirement. Everything has changed about retirement, and there’s no set plan anymore. You’re on your own and have to figure it out for yourself.

I’m here to help you. I work with you to think about the many aspects of retirement (some of which you probably haven’t thought about) and discover what you want your retirement to look like. Then I help you craft a road map, whether you’re preparing for retirement or already retired.

When I retired I didn’t have any idea what I was getting into. I experienced firsthand the loss of identity, purpose, sense of meaning, and direction in life. Now I’m passionate about helping others prepare for and reinvent their retirement.

Cost for Coaching

Don’t you just hate it when pages hide the cost by making you scroll to the bottom or go to a sign-up page? I don’t like those either, so I’m listing the cost up front and in the open.

My desire is to help people by providing personalized retirement coaching. So I want to charge an amount that is more than fair to encourage people who would benefit from coaching.

My hourly rate for coaching is $75. However, I am offering a $75 discounted package of three one-hour personal coaching sessions for $149. Three sessions is the minimum time I’d advise for coaching.

I’m also offering a $100 discounted package of four one-hour personal coaching sessions for $199. Four sessions is the recommended time I’d advise for coaching.

Who This is For

You’ve worked hard for decades. Now you’re asking, ‘What’s next?’ You want more than just relaxation—you want purpose, meaning, growth, and joy.

Retirement coaching is for those who are:

• Nearing retirement or recently retired.

• Retired, but missing identity, direction, and purpose in their life.

• Desiring to reinvent themselves and their retirement.

The Problems I Help Solve

Common feelings:

“I have no sense of identity.”

“I feel aimless without a work routine.”

“I’m struggling to find purpose and meaning.”

“I want to stay active but don’t know where to start.”

“I lost all my social relationships when I quit working.”

• When we retire, we lose our identity, status, meaning, purpose,
and social relationships.

• Too often, we don’t think about what we’re retiring to,
only what we’re retiring from.

• Retirement is a major life transition. We need to know what
to expect and how to plan for it.

My Coaching Approach

I help people to reinvent their retirement.”

I teach you about the many factors involved in the retirement transition: your values, social connections, physical well-being, fears, stresses, curiosities, and opportunities.

Next, I help you to uncover your thinking about each of these areas and develop a plan to go
in the direction that’s best for you
.

Finally, I help you to craft a retirement action plan that gives you direction.

FAQ

1. What exactly is retirement coaching?

Retirement coaching helps you navigate the non-financial side of retirement—identity, purpose, social relationships, daily structure, physical health, and personal fulfillment. It’s about designing a meaningful, energized life for your next chapter.

2. How is retirement coaching different from financial planning?

Financial planning focuses on money. Retirement coaching focuses on you—your values, interests, mindset, and goals. I won’t tell you how to invest your savings, but I will help you invest your time and energy in things that matter to you.

3. Is coaching the same as therapy or counseling?

No. Coaching is future-focused. It helps you identify what you want next and create a plan to move forward. While therapy may address past trauma or mental health issues, coaching focuses on personal growth, purpose, and action.

4. What happens during a coaching session?

We’ll discuss where you are, what your concerns are, where you want to go, and what might be getting in your way. Each session is a guided conversation, personalized to help you find clarity and take meaningful next steps.

5. Do I need to have a clear goal before starting coaching?

Not at all. Many people start with a vague sense that “something’s missing.” Together, we’ll clarify what matters most to you and where you’d like to go from here.

6. What if I don’t know what I want in retirement?

That’s a perfect reason to start coaching. You don’t need all the answers—just a willingness to explore. I’ll help you discover your interests and craft a vision and plan that inspires you.

7. I’m already retired. Is it too late to start coaching?

It’s never too late. Whether you retired last month or ten years ago, it’s always the right time to make life more meaningful and enjoyable.

8. My spouse and I are retiring at the same time. Can we do coaching together?

Yes, I offer joint sessions for couples who want to align their retirement goals and improve communication about this new phase of life. However, this usually takes more than three one-hour sessions since two people are involved.

9. How are sessions delivered?

All sessions are conducted remotely via Zoom (or a similar video conferencing tool) or phone.

10. How long is the coaching commitment?

If you purchase the discounted package of three or four one-hour coaching sessions, that will be the term of coaching. If you choose to add more time than the initial three hours, it will be for a term and amount agreed upon by you and me.
